The beckoning cat is meant to bring good fortune, and the Lucky Cat delivers it by the paddle-load – a charm-laden design with a wink built in. Its personality is playful superstition: the paddle members pat on the head before a tiebreak.
Who it's for
Luck aside, the specification does the real work: a T700 carbon face over a forgiving 16mm core, cold-pressed for soft feel, at around £40. The thick core widens the sweet spot and calms the ball down on dinks and resets – exactly what beginners and improving social players need – while the carbon face keeps rebound predictable and lets spin develop naturally. It is a charming first paddle, a personality hire for any club loan set, and a reliable choice for casual members who play for the company as much as the scoreline. If your club night could use one more smile per rally, the Lucky Cat obliges.
