The Dogtown borrows its swagger from the skate parks that named it – gritty, graphic and a little rebellious. It is the Ghost series with its collar up: a paddle for players who treat every club night like a session to be grinded out.
Who it's for
The build is the Ghost series' dependable core recipe: a T700 carbon face over a 16mm core, cold-pressed for a soft, controlled response, at around £40. The 16mm core keeps the sweet spot large and the feel forgiving, which suits newcomers and scrappy retrievers alike – the players who win by getting one more ball back. The carbon face adds the consistency and bite that let developing players start shaping points rather than just surviving them. For clubs, the Dogtown is a loan-set natural with enough attitude that members ask where to buy their own – which is precisely how a loan set is supposed to work.
